While there is no quick fix or one-size-fits-all for overcoming depression, the following tips can help you manage depression so it does not manage you.
Get a reasonable amount of sleep each night (Try to go bed before 10PM)
Find purpose. Put your focus on someone or something other than yourself.
Create a list of small goals to achieve, check them off as you accomplish them. EX: choose some 5 goals which you are going to achieve at the end of this year or by 12 months its depends on person to person
Don’t think about you past (Past we cant change,Start thinking about future)
Listen to music or watch a movie that makes you happy (listen to music which makes you feel better)
Do a creative activity as a way to express emotion or as a distraction
Don’t isolate yourself, be around people –even if it means just going to a store.
Be present in the moment. Recognize and appreciate your surroundings and the people in your life.
Meditate to relax and refocus your thoughts (Woke-up early in the morning and do some meditation)
Do something new ( out from your comfortable zone)
Try to have fun (People who cares/love you the most)
If your depression is overwhelming or just doesn’t seem to go away, don’t hesitate to tell an adult that you need some help.
